johnThe owner and founder of Clemente Real Estate Services, John Clemente, grew up in Long Island, N.Y.  After serving overseas in Germany in the US Army, he became a journeyman cabinetmaker in Largo, FL. In 1981, he moved to Colorado Springs with his family, bought a home and continued working as a cabinetmaker.

By 1985, John wanted a new challenge. After attending a real estate investment seminar, he became fascinated with the income potential of real estate investments. John enrolled in real estate school with the objective of learning as much as possible about investing. He then became a sales agent with a local real estate company. Shortly after entering the business, John was offered an opportunity to become a realtor/property manager when the company opened a new office in the Broadmoor area. After 6 years, he had become a top agent and property manager within the company. Once again, John sought another challenge.

In 1991, John learned that RE/MAX, a national real estate company based out of Denver, didn’t have a property management department in Colorado Springs. He joined RE/MAX and developed a sales and property management department. Thirteen years later, after managing hundreds of rental properties and selling millions of dollars worth of real estate, John decided to open his own company.

John purchased an office building at the intersection of North Academy and North Union and opened Clemente Real Estate Services in April, 2004. Along the way, John has been actively investing in single family homes in Colorado Springs. He also has several investment properties in resort areas. He brings a unique perspective to the real estate business, having personal expertise in sales, property management and in his passion, real estate investing. John also assists investors in doing IRS 1031 exchanges and is a founding member of NARPM (National Association of Residential Property Managers) in Colorado Springs since 1992.  He would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about using real estate as part of your investments future.

  • Melissa Jeffrey

    OFFICE MANAGER/BOOKKEEPER/ Maintenance Coordinator

    Melissa has been with Clemente Real Estate Services since 2012, and is our “go to” person for all your maintenance issues, client relations, and bookkeeping. She works with our tenants, owners and contractors to help keep our homes in working order and things running smoothly.  She is also a licensed Realtor, so feel free to contact her with any questions you may have.

  • Leah Smith

    Leasing Coordinator

    Leah has been with Clemente Real Estate Services since 2014.  She processes our rental applications, prepares leases and assists our prospective tenants with the application process.  She also handles all of our lease renewals and move outs.

    SEASONAL Property Coordinator

    Joe is our seasonal office assistant. During our busy end of Spring/Summer season, he sets showing appointments and answers phones for the office. He is here to answer questions about the rental process and for general inquiries when you call.
